Beauty

Ok... so the sun is shining and this makes me sooo happy!  The phone calls are coming in... yea!  Shoots are being scheduled... my mind is happily whirring and creating.  The other day I was with my family and we saw a peacock.  I was reminded of how amazingly creative our Creator is!  Beauty can be found ALL around us!  One of my goals... to bring beauty to each photograph I create!  What a great inspiration this peacock is!

vacation... with weddings on my mind...

As I get ready to head out for our spring break vacation... I find myself with weddings on the brain. :)

I have had so many calls to schedule weddings, and I have been deep into meeting with my brides. I love the process of planning and dreaming. I have to say that well after our meetings, my mind continues to swirl with so many ideas... fun... creative... wanting to do all I can to make your wedding day photographs completely delight you and those you love!

So, as I head out on a road trip with my hubby and fabulous four kiddos, I have in hand a sketch pad to sketch out ideas. :) See... this isn't work to me, it is a passion and a JOY I have been blessed to dive into... and I absolutely love it!

Country Shoot... country girl at heart...

So, the rain was falling lightly... but we still headed out to the country a bit. She was a trooper! We found an amazing barn and worked with that. We were hoping to include a horse in the shoot, but that will be part 2. :) Look for it next week! :) Can't wait!

She was such a sport... was up for any idea we had and I love how the photographs turned out! Way to go H, you rocked it!

Journey

It has been on my heart lately... that life is truly a journey.

Our life here on earth is so limited - actually quite brief, so how are we numbering our days? Are we intentional or are our days running us?

No matter my life circumstances, do I try and see the blessings before me, and focus on those or do I allow the heavy things in life to weigh me down and steal my joy?

I love that we have one another... lets take each day to encourage someone in the details of their life today... but not to remain discouraged in that time together. We can hurt for someone... ache for them... absolutely love them...but how can we breathe encouragement into their lives if we fall into having a negative outlook, or speaking negative thoughts into lives?

Sometimes being a photographer gives me a different outlook on life. As I view so much through my lens... I see details often overlooked... beauty, simple joys and also sometimes the reality of the imperfections of this world. But, I pray that as I see my days are numbered, I can bring some cool moments... sometimes missed... to my clients. I hope I can bring some laughter and lightness, yet depth of heart as we delight in the joys of time spent together and unexpected moments captured.

THAT gets this photographer JAZZED!

Life is a journey. Lets walk it with our eyes wide open and make the most of our days! Lets be that voice that brings a breath of fresh air to those around us. Absolutely be real, share in life... but in the end, focus on the blessings and walk forward.
